Established in 2015

As a montessori wing of Dhulikhel High School, Dhulikhel High School Kindergarten has, from the very beginning been focused, driven and motivated by the traditional values of honesty, integrity and service.

DHS Kindergartern has been offering education with a semi- Montessori method to children. Our goal is to help the child to become complete adult human being comfortable with himself, with his society and a humanity as whole.

Dr. Maria Montessori, the founder of the Montessori Method, was the first woman to practice medicine in Italy and the lady behind the method who developed an approach to education that is based on the child’s natural desire to learn. Her observation during her medical practice in midst of children has helped her to understand that children between the age of 0 to 6 years absorb everything around them like a sponge, which she called as The Absorbent mind. The method of Dr. Montessori was first implemented in San Lorenzo, Rome and was name as Casa-de-Bambini, means the “House of Children”.

Message from the Coordinator

As the mother of two boys, I understand what a parent looks for when searching for a pre-school.

As the coordinator of DHS Kindergarten, I maintain a facility that exceeds expectations for parents and students. My goal is for parents to feel at ease knowing that their children are well cared for, engaged and learning every day they are at DHS.

All of the children enrolled in our Kindergarten, as well as their parents, are members of our DHS family. Our facility provides a comfortable, home-like atmosphere where children feel comfortable learning.

Our Teachers are trained in the Montessori Philosophy. Each Lead Teacher has been with the school for at least three years. Most of our Teachers are mothers themselves which lends valuable instincts that contribute to our school’s success. All staff are committed to our students’ advancement. We take special pride in our students’ outstanding reading and math scores.

In addition to standard academics, we also offer a music program from a Certified Music, Dance and Martial Art Teacher for our children.

Message from the Kindergarten In-charge

My philosophy in teaching is that every child is filled with amazing potential, with curiosity and motivation to learn. My belief is that learning is not just a one-way transmission of knowledge by teachers, but a community where learning is bidirectional – students learn from teachers, and teachers also learn from students. Thus, I always encourage teachers to value the endless imagination, creativity, and knowledge children bring with them and provide freedom for children to share their ideas.

From my many years of experiences in various capacities as a teacher and A Kindergarten In-charge, I discovered my unique strengths in facilitating fun while imparting lasting positive character values through learning experiences I create to the little ones. In every learning experience, I create, I always believe children will learn and work best with their interest-based motivation.

We have a team of dedicated teachers with a love for children and a heart for teaching. Under their care and guidance, and our fun-based approach, we strongly believe that our children will flourish to become confident and happy learners at DHS Kindergarten.
